Apache Wickiup, 1903
This is an image taken by Edward Curtis in 1903. It shows an Apache wikiup or wigwam-a domed structure constructed of bent branches, covered with grass. Note the baskets next to the door.
Each day I check to see what new material you will find to post. I am NEVER disappointed. Interesting picture today. Thanks. I am familiar with E. Curtis's photo work but I don't recall this image. How do you find the time to collect your magnificent posts? Thanks for them all. ReggieK,WoodsWalker.
